Green Operations
Our daily operations are performed in a way that supports the preservation of our natural resources and protects
the environment around us.
- Energy efficient heating, lighting & equipment are utilized, reducing our energy consumption.
- Paperless operations are used when possible, reducing our paper consumption.
- Consolidated shipments are used when possible, reducing our carbon footprint.
- Reusable blanket wrapping is used when possible, reducing packaging waste.
- All cardboard, metal, plastic and glass materials are reused or recycled, reducing landfill space.
- All dust and wood shavings are supplied to area farmers for livestock bedding.
- All non-usable scrap wood is donated to local school woodshops or area residents for heating.
Green Products
Our product line is designed and manufactured in a way that supports the preservation of our natural resources and
protects the environment around us.We design and construct products for maximum life cycle in an effort to reduce
waste created from replacing fixtures.
PANEL STOCK
We are committed to using panel products that are renewable and environmentally safe. Our veneer plywood
panels are Columbia PureBond panels that utilize formaldehyde-free, soy-based adhesives, meet CARB phase 2
requirements and can contribute to LEEDS green building points. Our laminates, fiberboard and
melamine-faced panels have also been awarded the following environmental certifications and compliances:
- CARB phase 2
- GREENGUARD
- FSC
- LEED
- EPP
- SCS
SOLID WOODS
We are committed to using locally harvested timber products, reducing our carbon footprint. Our solid
wood suppliers are committed to sustainable forest management, enhancing the managed forests ability to
replenish its timber product. FSC certified lumber is available upon request.
FINISHES & ADHESIVES
We are committed to using low-VOC emitting products in the manufacture of our fixtures, reducing the
negative impact on indoor air quality and public health. We use 100% water-based materials in the
following products:
- Wood Glues
- Laminating Adhesives
- Stains
- Paints
- Top Coats
